Library - Reading Room - New & Second Hand Books 

 “Aladdin’s cave” of hidden treasures! The Perth Theosophical Society bookshop contains a wide range of subjects for the serious student and researcher including rare and out-of-print editions. Philosophical, scientific and religious texts provide that valuable resource so hard to find in today’s world, all in one location and available for your use, with a low-cost library membership. 

Opening Hours

Tuesdays                                  6:00 pm - 7:15 pm


Fridays                                     1:00 pm - 4:00 pm


Saturdays                                 10:00 am - 1:00 pm


We are CLOSED on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and all Public Holidays.

Joining the Library

Members of the Perth Branch of the Theosophical Library are automatically members of the library and do not need to subscribe. Members of the Theosophical Society may borrow three items at a time.

Library membership is open to the public

on presentation of your photo I.D. showing name and address, the twelve month subscription is $15. Bond $50 per item (refundable on cessation of membership). 

Borrowing

Items borrowed may be kept for up to three weeks and can be renewed once over the phone, and after that are to be returned for inspection before a second renewal may be offered. One or two items may be borrowed at a time depending on the bond amount paid. Lost or damaged books will incur a replacement fee.

Staff

All library staff are volunteers; please assist them by returning borrowed items and paying membership fees on time.

Reading Room

For the convenience of members and visitors there is a reading room overlooking Hyde Park.

New & Second Hand Books For Sale

A small selection of new books is available for purchase. Second Hand books, estate and book donations gratefully received – these are carefully checked and added to the Library or sold on as a fund raiser for purchasing new library book items.
